Job summary

The Gardner School is seeking a District Support Director to provide district-level leadership and operational support across its campuses. Reporting to the District Manager, you will help ensure consistent execution, strong programs, and a high-quality experience for children, families, and staff.

This role emphasizes leadership development, coverage during transitions, staffing oversight, enrollment priorities, and district initiatives.

Qualifications

• Director II qualification per MA EEC at time of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, business, or related field preferred.
• Leadership experience in an early childhood education environment required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly between schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership coverage and operational support across district schools.
• Support schools during leadership transitions and enrollment growth.
• Partner with Executive School Directors and District Manager on district initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with The Gardner School standards and family experience.
• Support budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and district priorities.
• Travel between district schools as required.
• Develop readiness for future Director opportunities.
