Job summary

New Mexico Department of Transportation in Roswell, NM seeks a Senior Manager, Transportation Operations to lead district administration, budgeting, human resources, safety, and facilities. You will coordinate with the District Engineer and oversee district operations to ensure efficient service to the public.

The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen, staff leadership, and experience managing multi-source funding, contracts, and procurement, with a track record in implementing policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field with at least 10 years professional-level experience or a combination totaling 14 years as substitute.
• Strong budget forecasting, variance analysis, and multi-source funding management.
• Experience coordinating with district engineers, procurement, HR, safety, and IT functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee District Two operations including Accounting, Procurement, Support Services, Stores, Buildings & Grounds, HR, Safety, Equipment, IT and Network.
• Coordinate with the District Engineer on development and execution of Administrative plans.
• Monitor district performance, manage budgets and ensure expenditures align with codes and deadlines.
• Establish and maintain fleet, facilities, HR processes and IT refresh programs.
