Airgas is seeking a District Manager to lead a high-performance sales culture across branches in the Knoxville area. You will mentor the sales teams, oversee P&L stewardship, and cultivate customer service excellence while ensuring safety standards are met.

The role requires a strong leadership mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to align resources with strategic growth initiatives. Travel and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (ideally 7+ years in a relevant field).
• Proven history of advancing sustainable sales growth and profitable expansion.
• Experience mentoring a team and managing a P&L (or similar in distribution).
• Leadership experience for at least 3 years in sales or sales operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Comfort with MS Excel and Word; ability to data entry and order extraction.
• Numerical proficiency for business analysis and reporting.
• Physically able to lift 25–75 lbs and to drive a personal vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Empower, mentor, and support sales teams to achieve safety and performance milestones.
• Provide P&L stewardship for branches and territory to sustain fiscal health.
• Cultivate exceptional customer service and product knowledge; resolve issues collaboratively.
• Advocate safety measures through meetings and adherence to safety protocols.
• Optimize margins by executing Region/Area plans and aligning expenses with growth.
