Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a District Maintenance Manager in the Irving, TX area to lead turn maintenance operations and ensure timely, cost-effective upkeep of a portfolio of homes.

You will supervise field technicians, manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and partner with vendors to ensure quality and compliance. The role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and the ability to coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams to meet company standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical training certification preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive responsibility in supervising field maintenance.
• Minimum two (2) years of project management or related experience (Capital Expenditures).
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team handling turn maintenance operations, logistics, and daily workflow.
• Hire, train, coach, and guide field technicians while monitoring performance and operational metrics.
• Manage resources, budgets, and KPIs for assets.
• Review maintenance and financial reports and communicate with partners.
• Oversee quality control and resolve escalated maintenance issues.
• Collaborate with vendor management to ensure performance and compliance.
