Job summary

O'Neal Steel LLC is seeking a District Operations Specialist for our Greensboro, NC facility. The role supports district operations with daily tasks including receiving, inventory control, shop floor activities, document retention, and supply chain communications.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, routing inbound goods, maintaining locations, and coordinating with sales and purchasing. Requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of warehouse experience; 6:00 AM–2:00 PM M–F with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of warehouse operations experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform in high pace environments and work under pressure.
• Shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Monday–Friday; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against bills of ladings and maintain records.
• Reject damaged or incorrect goods and adjust for damages or shortages.
• Receive inbound shipments and route to proper bays.
• Monitor receiving reports for accuracy and coordination with purchasing.
• Notify sales when items are received.
• Maintain inventory locations and pick zones.
• Conduct stock checks on quantities, dimensions, and condition.
• Investigate and resolve inventory issues, markdowns or discrepancies.
• Verify loads have shipped and share morning shipment info with the commercial team.
• Perform laydown audits and manage inbound schedules.
• Enter purchase orders, ASNs, and returns to vendor.
• Record safety and quality data; assist with local vendor management.
