Job summary

Eaton RESA in Charlotte, Michigan is seeking a Literacy Coach to collaborate with LEAs and district leaders to strengthen literacy instruction and student outcomes through sustained, job-embedded coaching and implementation support.

You will lead coaching cycles, provide classroom observations, modeling, co-planning, and data-informed decision-making to implement high-quality literacy practices and equitable instruction across PreK-12 settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• SIOP training or equivalent coaching credential is required.
• Minimum five years of successful experience supporting literacy instruction in PreK-12 settings and two years of instructional coaching.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary literacy coach for assigned districts with sustained, job-embedded coaching.
• Facilitate coaching cycles through observations, modeling, co-teaching, planning, feedback, and reflection.
• Build partnerships with teachers and leaders to improve literacy instruction and student outcomes.
• Support districts in implementing Michigan’s Literacy Essentials and evidence-based practices aligned with the Science of Reading.
• Maintain knowledge of literacy standards and assessments to inform instructional decisions.
