Job summary

Tarrant County College District (TCCD) is seeking a Coordinator, District Irrigation to oversee the district-wide irrigation program at the Offsite District Multipurpose Center in Fort Worth. The role ensures compliance with laws, schedules irrigation, and optimizes water use while maintaining landscape health.

Responsibilities include managing installations, creating drawings, monitoring operations, and preparing budgets.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours and five (5) years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Irrigation Technician (IT) or Landscape Irrigator (LI) License.
• Valid Texas Driver License with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation; ability to complete driver requirements within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves installation, expansion, upgrades and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure compliance with laws and guidelines.
• Develops and maintains record drawings for irrigation systems.
• Develops irrigation schedules using weather data and site factors to ensure efficient water management and plant health.
• Collects and monitors seasonal weather data for each campus and site.
• Monitors irrigation system operations for district standards and environmental stewardship.
• Prepares budget packages and funding requests for landscaping projects across campuses.
• Recommends repairs, upgrades, or replacements to ensure reliable operation.
• Participates in safety training programs.
