Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an instructional specialist for the Teacher Leader Pathways to support development of aspiring and in-program teacher leaders. The role collaborates with teachers, curriculum leaders, and principals for growth through embedded professional learning.

Under supervision, you will contribute at school and district levels, align with Board policies, and report to the Teacher Leader Pathways Manager. Travel to district sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Valid NC Teaching license.
• Minimum of five years' experience as a successful content-area teacher.
• Willingness to travel to district buildings and professional meetings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school leadership and central office to implement teacher leader roles.
• Coach and build capacity of teacher leaders to meet district goals.
• Coordinate professional development plans across the district.
• Analyze staffing, hiring, performance and retention data to inform program success.
• Design and deliver job-embedded professional learning for teachers and leaders.
