Chewy Vet Care is currently looking for a District HRBP (CVC) with retail, fulfillment, and/or distribution experience to support our veterinary practice operations. The District HRBP (CVC) will report to the AD, Regional HRBP, and drive engagement with Team Members, leadership development, and performance management for a MSA of veterinary practices. This person will set high standards and goals for the district to improve engagement, retention, and foster a culture that Team Members want to be part of. The District HRBP serves as a consultant to the leadership team on human resource-related issues, acts as a team member champion and change agent, and partners across the HR function to deliver valuable services reflecting the organization’s strategic objectives.

What You'll Do
  1. Provide strategic human resources support within an MSA.
  2. Collaborate with the CVC HRBP team to create and implement HR strategies supporting business goals.
  3. Act as a strategic partner to the district team, providing HR guidance on engagement metrics, workforce planning, leadership development, site visits, and Voice of the Practice routines.
  4. Engage Practice Managers to understand talent needs and define people strategies.
  5. Partner with Talent Acquisition to build a talent pipeline and support new practice launches.
  6. Support communication on policy updates, initiatives, and changes through collaboration with Practice Managers.
  7. Participate in employee relations, facilitate communication, and assist in investigations.
  8. Identify gaps, propose, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  9. Assist in talent reviews, organizational planning, and support operational results.
  10. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  11. Build strong relationships with district leadership, operate with autonomy, and support local shifts and staffing ramps.
  12. Support practice launches and develop standard HRBP work as directed.
  13. Travel up to 75% as needed.
What You’ll Need
  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of progressive HRBP experience in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Excellent communication, observational, and analytical skills.
  4. Ability to influence and lead change across organizations.
  5. Proven success in people operations programs related to performance, culture, engagement, and retention.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. HR certification (a plus).
  2. Experience in retail, distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environments.
  3. Experience managing HR teams.
  4. Supporting 250+ hourly Team Members preferred.
