Job summary

Backyard Discovery is seeking a District Field Technician to be a field-level product expert and quality ambassador. This role requires hands-on experience assembling outdoor residential products and problem-solving skills.

You will resolve escalated customer issues, support field teams, and ensure high-quality installations. The position offers comprehensive benefits and the chance to directly impact customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring, coaching, or training technicians preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in escalated situations.

Responsibilities

• Complete approximately 3–5 installations per week.
• Serve as a field resource for independent technicians.
• Act as the primary escalation contact for customer issues.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess or complete installation work.
• Support onboarding for newly onboarded assembly technicians.
• Communicate trends of recurring issues to leadership.
