Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Leader to manage the district's maintenance人员 and activities, drive PM/CM programs, and ensure asset readiness. You will lead technicians, monitor metrics, and partner with Operations to maintain uninterrupted operations.

The role requires knowledge of building systems, vendor management experience, and strong leadership. Travel within the district may be required; on-site work at designated facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus two years' experience in building maintenance.
• Two years of leadership, supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred.
• Experience managing maintenance vendors, service contracts, and facility-related projects preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, doors, dock equipment, and general facility infrastructure preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and employee development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians (FMTs) with safety and continuous improvement focus.
• Oversee district maintenance operations and timely work orders, PMs, and repairs.
• Monitor performance metrics like aging work orders, response times, backlog, and quality.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize needs and support uninterrupted ops.
• Manage vendor performance and relationships, ensuring service standards and cost opportunities.
• Control maintenance spends via cost analysis, resource optimization, and vendor management.
• Coordinate daily operations: workload, scheduling, resources, and project execution.
• Oversee payroll, timekeeping, work orders, reporting, inventory, and system compliance.
• Facilitate team communication to review performance, safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with laws/regulations and company policies.
