FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Leader to manage maintenance personnel and assets across a district. The role drives preventive and corrective programs, optimizes in-house maintenance utilization, and ensures safe, compliant facilities to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus two years' experience in building maintenance.
• Two years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience managing maintenance vendors, service contracts, and facility projects preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, doors, dock equipment and general facility infrastructure preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and employee development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians (FMTs), fostering safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee district maintenance operations, ensuring timely work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
• Monitor performance metrics: work order aging, response times, backlog, completion rates, service quality.
• Partner with Operations leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and support operations.
• Manage vendor performance and relationships to uphold service standards and identify cost efficiencies.
• Control maintenance spends through cost analysis, resource optimization, and vendor management.
• Coordinate daily operations: workload prioritization, scheduling, resource allocation, project execution.
• Oversee admin functions: payroll, timekeeping, work orders, reporting, inventory, system compliance.
• Facilitate team communication to review performance and reinforce safety.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies.
