Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to lead district maintenance operations, drive preventive and corrective programs, and ensure asset readiness across assigned locations in the region. You will manage technicians, develop staff, and partner with Operations to prioritize needs while controlling costs.

The role requires strong leadership, vendor management experience, and knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with vendor management and facility projects preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and dock equipment is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians and foster safety.
• Oversee district maintenance operations and work orders.
• Monitor performance metrics such as aging and response times.
• Coordinate with Operations to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Manage vendor performance and cost efficiency.
• Control maintenance spends and resource allocation.
• Coordinate daily operations, scheduling, and project execution.
• Oversee payroll, timekeeping, inventory, and reporting.
• Facilitate communication to drive safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
