Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a Facility Maintenance leader to manage maintenance personnel, activities, and vendor performance across the district.

You will drive preventive/corrective maintenance programs, optimize in-house maintenance usage, and ensure safe, compliant facilities while supporting operational excellence through planning, cost control, and workforce development. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus two years' experience in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians (FMTs) and foster safety culture.
• Oversee district maintenance operations and ensure timely work orders, PMs, and emergency repairs.
• Monitor performance metrics: work order aging, response times, backlog, completion rates, service quality.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize maintenance needs and support uninterrupted operations.
• Manage vendor performance and relationships to meet service standards and cost opportunities.
• Control maintenance spends through cost analysis, resource optimization, and vendor management.
• Coordinate daily operations: workload prioritization, scheduling, resource allocation, project execution.
• Oversee payroll, timekeeping, work orders, reporting, inventory, and system compliance.
• Facilitate team communication to review performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies.
