Job summary

Arlington Independent School District is seeking an experienced facilities supervisor to plan, organize, and maintain the operation of district facilities in support of department responsibilities. This role requires hands-on leadership of maintenance crews, adherence to AISD policies, and effective coordination of daily tasks.

The position also involves managing work orders, supervising district projects, ensuring safety, and maintaining vehicles/equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must have valid Texas Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
• Minimum 5 years' commercial maintenance or construction experience required

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise assigned crews' daily activities
• Maintain and monitor work orders and work order system with supervisors
• Organize and supervise special projects, as assigned, throughout the district
• Maintain all physical buildings and structures including concrete, flooring, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and commercial carpentry, as directed by department foreman or supervisor
• Coordinate, organize and complete daily assignments, assuming responsibility for proper documentation regarding assigned tasks, works orders, and procurement of supplies
• Initiate work orders within assigned zones as needed
• Abide by all AISD policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Assume responsibility for care of assigned service vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Assume responsibility for personal timekeeping and communication and documentation of absences
• Perform all other duties as assigned to serve the needs of the District as determined by departmental leadership
• Maintain effective and positive communication and rapport within assigned department and with all other areas of contact
