Job summary

City of Arlington seeks a Facility Maintenance Supervisor (Parks) to lead advanced skilled and non-skilled techs in repair, maintenance, construction and custodial operations for parks, recreation centers, pools, and lake systems.

The role requires directing staff, overseeing contracts, budgeting over $1M, and ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal regulations. A strong background in infrastructure planning and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction, maintenance, and operations of roads, facilities, pools, and other infrastructure.
• Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and codes for electrical, plumbing and pools.
• Experience with budgeting and procurement procedures at government levels.
• Supervisory experience in park operations or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and monitor complex infrastructure systems for parks, facilities, pools.
• Develop long-range preventative maintenance and budgeting for asset life.
• Oversee construction of new parks, pools, facilities and renovations.
• Manage contracts, hire contractors, monitor budgets and compliance with regs.
• Schedule staff across trades and supervise payroll and records.
• Inspect playground and aquatic facilities to ensure safety and compliance.
