Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a District Engineer to oversee the design and construction of district-wide projects, including the Capital Improvement Program, under the direction of the General Manager.

The role leads engineering teams, manages capital improvements, coordinates with district boards, outside agencies, developers and consultants, and ensures technical standards and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Eight+ years of civil engineering experience, with at least five years in supervision.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, land surveying, construction management and contract administration.
• Familiarity with laws and regulatory codes related to development and engineering design.
• Strong budgeting, reporting, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction of district projects and capital improvements.
• Lead long-range planning to meet infrastructure needs and oversee IT guidance.
• Direct and supervise all capital improvement engineering activities.
• Coordinate with district boards, outside agencies, developers, and consultants.
• Prepare and manage engineering budgets and forecast staffing and equipment needs.
• Develop board agenda items related to capital projects and engineering activities.
