Job summary

Staffmark Group in Arizona is hiring a District Engineer to oversee the design and construction of district capital projects and the Capital Improvement Program. The role coordinates activities with District Teams and outside agencies and reports to the General Manager.

This direct-hire position requires a civil engineering degree, 8+ years of experience with 5+ in supervision, and Arizona PE licensure, with duties spanning budgeting, staff leadership, and public works project oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Eight years of professional civil engineering experience with five in supervisory roles.
• Must be registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction of district capital projects.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
• Supervise and coordinate all capital improvement engineering activities.
• Manage water system improvement projects for private development and in-house projects.
• Prepare and review engineering reports; provide technical criteria and standards.
• Develop and administer the Engineering Team budget and staffing plans.
• Collaborate with District Boards, outside agencies, and consultants.
