Job summary

The City of Atlanta, GA is seeking a City Council Senior Advisor | District Director to manage district operations, lead constituent services, and drive community engagement. You will serve as the primary contact for residents, coordinate with policy staff, and ensure responsive service delivery on a day-to-day basis.

The role requires strong relationships with neighborhood groups, nonprofits, and local leaders, with a focus on visibility and proactive district presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in government, public policy, legislative and community affairs.
• Knowledge of municipal government structure, functions, and operations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• District Operations: coordinate logistics and prepare for district engagements.
• Constituent Services: manage inquiries and casework from intake to resolution.
• Community Engagement: lead district representation and build relationships with residents and local groups.
• Coordination and Support: relay district concerns to policy staff and assist with communications.
