Job summary

On Point Staffing Group is seeking a District Area Service Manager in New York to oversee day-to-day elevator service operations across a large portfolio. You will supervise field personnel, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure regulatory compliance for 900–1000 elevators.

Reporting to the district leadership, you will maintain strong client relationships with building owners and managers, coordinate repair proposals, and monitor performance metrics to drive reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of elevator maintenance and service operations.
• Experience supervising field personnel in a service-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple properties, priorities and urgent situations.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with NYC code requirements including Category 1 inspections.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and support approximately 10 to 14 service mechanics and 1 supervisor.
• Oversee service operations for a portfolio of approximately 900 to 1000 elevators.
• Ensure maintenance work follows company standards, safety rules and contracts.
• Coordinate monthly maintenance to ensure required service per contract terms.
• Communicate with building owners, property managers, and superintendents to maintain relationships.
• Coordinate and follow up on repair proposals, approvals and scheduling.
• Ensure timely delivery of maintenance and emergency parts to minimize downtime.
• Assist in coordination and completion of Category 1 inspections and deficiencies.
• Monitor call-back activity and implement corrective measures for reliability.
• Support emergency response and customer satisfaction during service interruptions.
• Maintain documentation and reporting on performance, contract compliance, and regulatory needs.
• Perform weekly standby coverage on a rotating schedule.
• Conduct weekly area management meetings to review deficiencies and deadlines.
