Job summary

Community Consolidated School District 146 is seeking a District Technology Support Specialist to support teaching and learning technology district-wide. The role will be assigned to a district school to provide hands-on help, train staff, troubleshoot devices, and maintain Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace accounts.

Responsibilities include managing tickets, documenting resolutions, supporting testing, and assisting the Network Specialist with LAN/WAN.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or two years related work experience.
Experience training and assisting adults with the use of technology preferred.
Experience with and understanding of technology applications in an educational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Create, resolve, elevate, and close Help Desk tickets using the Help Desk management system.
Document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference using Knowledge Base Solutions.
Provide technology support for staff and students.
Provide training to end users as related to technology.
Restore and migrate user data.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computers, peripherals, network connectivity, and printers as assigned.
Maintain an inventory of technology equipment assigned to the designated building.
Maintain mobile device management for the designated building.
Maintain users in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Provide support for district testing (IAR, MAP, ACCESS, etc.).
Provide, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity.
Oversee building equipment management (repair, distribution).
Monitor technology operations and report needs and concerns.
