Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. oversees a district portfolio of residential properties in the United States. The District Manager will lead daily operations, mentor the district team, and ensure alignment with company goals across Property Operations, Leasing and New Development.

The role requires a proven track record in general management, strong leadership, budgeting, and financial analysis to drive rental growth and occupancy while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in real estate, finance, business management or equivalent.
• State Real Estate License within 60 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum of five years in general management with 8+ direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic vision for the operation and drive rental growth and occupancy.
• Assess assets for quality, marketability, performance, and fit; recommend acquisitions/dispositions.
• Oversee the district team; train, coach, and develop employees.
• Monitor rent collection, leasing activities, and HOA compliance; engage with partners to meet goals.
• Analyze monthly financials to increase profitability and adhere to budgets.
