Job summary

GEMCORE Health in Hudson, OH is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead the daily shipping/receiving operations for our healthcare products distribution center. You will supervise a team of Warehouse Associates, drive productivity, and ensure safety and accuracy in all processes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in distribution with 2+ years in supervision, strong communication skills, and experience with warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a distribution environment.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials a plus.
• OSHA compliance helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all shipping and receiving activities using best practices and established standards.
• Manage Warehouse Associate productivity across cross-functional teams.
• Recommend process improvements and more efficient methods.
• Establish standards and procedures.
• Assist with inventory control.

GEMCO Medical, a division of GEMCORE, is a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 15,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy, has an opening for a Distribution Supervisor. The Distribution Supervisor's main responsibility will be to manage the daily activities within our distribution center of a team of Warehouse Associates that pick, pack, and ship healthcare products and medical supplies. The Distribution Supervisor will also hold a key position in welcoming new employees and ensuring all Associates are engaged within the company culture.

Key Requirements

• Ability to give clear direction and provide effective training.
• Coach and motivate direct reports to achieve optimal productivity and create highly functioning teams.
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a distribution environment, at least 2 years supervisory experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in math, computer software, and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Protected freight shipping requirements a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance requirements helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
