Job summary
PUD #1 of Clallam County is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer to lead design and oversight of the District’s electric distribution system. You will supervise engineering staff, plan construction and maintenance, and ensure reliability and safety in operations.
Responsibilities include GIS mapping, load flow analysis, and coordination with contractors while managing budgets and long-term capital planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required with power option preferred.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- Minimum four years’ experience as Senior or Supervising Engineer with project management.
- Eight years’ experience in electric distribution design, construction and operation.
- Experience with load flow analysis and protection software; GIS and AutoCAD familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Senior engineering design or review of distribution designs and projects.
- Supervise distribution engineering staff and plan construction, operation and maintenance.
- Develop long-range planning for system capacity and reliability.
- Manage budgets, safety standards, and district policies.
- Oversee outages, switching, and GIS/ mapping functions.
