Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Engineer II to strengthen the Distribution Capacity planning efforts, improving capacity and reliability of the distribution system through smart grid integration. Under guidance, you will prepare engineering plans, designs, standards, and cost estimates supporting safe energy delivery.

You will contribute to project teams, mentor entry-level engineers, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance while expanding technical and managerial knowledge within PSE's

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree or PE license required.
Experience in planning, design, specification preparation, cost estimating and scheduling.
Strong organization, documentation and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Work on projects with multiple interrelated elements.
Interpret standards and methods; apply engineering principles.
Prepare cost estimates and provide economic analysis for project options.
Plan and develop project budgets with proper documentation.
Identify weaknesses and initiate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with codes and design requirements.
Support emergency response efforts as needed.
Coordinate work of engineers, technicians, or contractors.
