Job summary

Seattle City Light is seeking two Electrical Power System Engineers to design and manage overhead and underground distribution systems for a diverse set of customers. You will contribute to large service projects, capital improvements, and reliability enhancements while mentoring junior engineers and pursuing Washington PE licensure within 12 months if needed.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible electrical power systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preparation for professional electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure within the United States and up to 12 months to attain Washington registration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design overhead and underground electrical systems and large services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Prioritize projects and ensure design guidelines and sound engineering principles are applied.
• Prepare cost estimates, drawings, documents, and material requirements per guidelines.
