McLane Company, Inc is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to oversee a warehouse area, ensuring staffing, training, tools, and adherence to safety and quality standards to meet customer demands. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 2 years distribution warehouse experience, preferably in grocery.
• Experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff with hiring, training, motivating and resolving issues.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead by example.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to listen and respond to teammates.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and teammates.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Read, write, and understand English at a level suitable for tasks and safety.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate teammates.
• Communicate company and division information to teammates.
• Listen, address and follow-up to teammate concerns.
• Facilitate communication within warehouse leadership and teammates.
• Understand DC goals and standards, implement procedures to meet them.
• Ensure procedures cut costs and improve customer value.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per standards.
• Supervise and manage daily work of department teammates.
• Create and maintain schedules and job assignments.
• Maintain departmental paperwork.
• Provide training to maintain an efficient workforce.
• Provide coaching and corrective action.
• Enforce all DC policies and issue corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to operational and safety procedures.
• Be a visible advocate for safety.
• Relieve other supervisors during vacations.
• Comply with rules.
• Be trained and certified to operate required equipment within 30 days.
• Maintain flexible work schedules to meet needs.
• Work in warm/cold temperatures as required.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
