Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to oversee a designated warehouse area in Concord, NC. You will lead a team, ensure staffing, training, safety, and efficient operations to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities include directing daily work, scheduling, enforcing policies, coaching staff, and maintaining accurate records. This full-time role requires flexibility for shifts, readiness to work in warm or cold environments, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years distribution warehouse experience.
• Experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reading, writing and understanding English at required level.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate teammates.
• Communicate company and division information to teammates.
• Address and follow-up on teammate concerns, questions and problems.
• Facilitate communication within the warehouse leadership team and with division leadership.
• Understand DC goals and standards and implement procedures to meet them.
• Promote standards to gain buy-in and positive results from teammates.
• Ensure safety, productivity, quality and cost controls while maintaining morale.
• Supervise and manage daily work of department teammates.
• Create and maintain schedules and job assignments.
• Maintain departmental paperwork and provide training as needed.
• Provide coaching and corrective action for teammates.
