Job summary

Mohawk Industries seeks a Distribution Supervisor for our Thomasville, NC facility. The role oversees 30+ associates, directs safety initiatives, and ensures productivity targets are met. You will coordinate with production and distribution teams and drive training programs to maintain high standards.

Ideal candidates have a degree or equivalent experience, WMS/SAP/AS400 familiarity, and strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills to foster a safe, efficient warehousing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with a Warehouse Management System, SAP or AS400 preferred.
• Broad knowledge of warehousing and product distribution functions including shipping, receiving, inventory control, scheduling, and customer service.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating a team in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of sound employee relations practices including coaching and corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment, training & oversight to ensure personnel safety and promote SAFETY initiatives.
• Plan and schedule the efficient use of associates and equipment to accomplish objectives.
• Coordinate with the Production Manager to ensure production and distribution work as a team to achieve objectives.
• Continuously measure and monitor performance according to established standards; include evaluations and feedback.
• Analyze productivity rates and recommend process/procedure changes to improve productivity.
• Hire, train and appraise Distribution Team Members to maintain high service quality and productivity.
• Support development of Distribution Team Members through training and cross-training.
• Maintain a motivated workforce through timely communication and recognition for good work or ideas.
