Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to establish and maintain efficient operations in the warehouse/distribution center. You will ensure staffing, training, tools, safety, and procedures to meet customer demands with accurate, timely deliveries.

The role emphasizes directing teammates, communicating effectively, and maintaining safety and productivity while managing department procedures and budgets. A strong leadership presence is required to drive results and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Have 2 years distribution warehouse experience, preferably in the grocery industry.
• Experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff with hiring, training, motivating and resolving employee relations issues.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead by example and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate teammates.
• Communicate company and division information to teammates.
• Address and follow up on teammate concerns and problems.
• Facilitate communication within the warehouse leadership team and with teammates.
• Ensure productivity, order quality, safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Supervise and manage daily work and create schedules for teammates.
• Provide training and coaching to maintain an efficient workforce.
