Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Cottonwood, AL, seeks a Distribution Supervisor to oversee operations in a warehouse/distribution center area. You will ensure staffing, training, tools, and procedures meet productivity and quality targets while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least 2 years in distribution. Proficiency in Word/Excel and leadership experience are essential for driving team performance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years distribution warehouse experience.
• Experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead by example.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• English reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate teammates.
• Communicate company and division information to teammates.
• Listen, address and follow-up to teammate concerns and questions.
• Coordinate with warehouse leadership and teammates.
• Meet department standards for productivity, quality, safety and sanitation.
• Facilitate adherence to procedures to meet standards.

• Maintain departmental paperwork and records.
• Provide training and development for teammates.
• Enforce all distribution center policies and safety rules.
• Relieve other supervisors during vacations.
