Job summary

PSEG Long Island is seeking an OH UG Distribution Supervisor to lead the workforce responsible for installation and maintenance of underground and overhead transmission and distribution facilities, ensuring compliance with company standards and PSEGLI Safety Standards. Reports to the Sr Distribution Supervisor.

The role requires supervisory experience, knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, and the ability to manage 24/7 operations, with emphasis on safety and equipment evaluation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years’ experience in operation, design, maintenance and construction of electric transmission and distribution facilities.
• Knowledge of work rules, safety rules and line procedures for overhead/underground work.
• Supervisory experience and/or familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements to direct crew operations.
• Ability to evaluate performance of personnel and tools/equipment.
• Willingness to work off-hours, nights and weekends (≈400 hours/year).

Responsibilities

• Supervise OH/UG Lines bargaining unit employees on a 24/7 basis.
• Prepare reports for Sr Distribution Supervisor on schedules, workloads and equipment performance.
• On rotating basis, perform stand-by duty per department requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections and investigations within area of responsibility.
• Evaluate tools and equipment used to perform the job.
