National Grid is hiring a Distribution Design Supervisor for Electric Operations in Queensbury, NY. You will lead and mentor a team of designers delivering safe, reliable distribution designs and construction packages for overhead and underground systems.

You will coordinate with clients, inspectors, and regulators, ensuring compliance and high-quality output while promoting safety and continuous improvement within the team.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred; AS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in distribution design required.
• Leadership, training, or supervisory experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Oversee and guide a team of distribution designers in developing designs and construction packages for overhead and underground distribution systems.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and problem-solving throughout project lifecycles.
• Review and approve designs to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Manage team resources, schedules, and priorities to ensure timely project completion.
• Mentor and train designers to support professional development.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Lead daily activities of the design team and assign tasks based on skills.
