Job summary

OGE Energy Corporation is seeking a Designer Staff (Staff or Senior) to execute and lead drafting and design tasks for major components. The role involves collaborating with Engineers, preparing drawings, and guiding project teams from data collection to final design.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of design and drafting experience, relevant technical coursework, and proficiency with CAD, GIS, and design tools. Office-based with potential travel and non-standard schedules.

Qualifications

Requires: Associate degree or higher in Engineering Tech or related field with design and drafting experience or 60 credit hours with design and drafting experience.
Senior level requires 5 years design and 3 years drafting experience with related coursework.
Strong problem solving and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Review drawings with Engineers and Drafting staff to resolve questions on major design assignments.
Provide drafting/design guidance and leadership for daily activities and projects.
Offer input on project alternatives, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and operating parameters.
