Job summary

ATEC Spine in Memphis, TN is seeking a Distribution Specialist to manage ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and shipping of materials and equipment. You will prepare products for shipment, maintain records and verify packing slips, ensuring accuracy across inventory and orders.

Responsibilities include reviewing customer orders, stocking and distributing items, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating economical transport.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of distribution experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Familiarity with document management software and Internet navigation.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Package and prepare products for shipment and record weights and shipping charges.
• Review orders, stock and distribute merchandise and materials in the DC.
• Verify accuracy of packing slips against purchase and shipping orders.
• Maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping and related records; data entry tasks.
• Compute inventory balance and costs from receipts and disbursements.

Job description

ATEC Spine has an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee. The Distribution Specialist initiates, maintains, and compiles records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping of materials, supplies, and equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
• Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in distribution center
• Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, and other listed information on packing slips to verify accuracy of purchase orders and shipping orders
• Compiles and performs data entry tasks to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records
• Uses data sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, etc. and verifies inventory computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors and documents discrepancies with proposed corrective action
• Maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status of material locations
• Compiles information on receipt of disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost
• Packages materials and equipment ensuring that shipping documentation is accurate, and materials are protected adequately for shipment
• Determines most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation
• Initiates investigations into causes of misdirected shipments, damage or shortages in shipments or overcharges in freight cost
• Assists with or performs other related tasks as assigned

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $19.00 to $21.00 Full-Time Hourly Salary.
