Job summary

Southwest Accessory Group is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of our workplace safety program across distribution centers. You will partner with site leaders, HR, and employees to identify hazards, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

You will manage incident investigations, safety training, inspections, and recordkeeping, with a hands-on focus on forklifts, loading docks, ergonomics, and tire operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety-related field.
• 5+ years of progressive workplace safety experience, preferably in warehousing or logistics.
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs across multiple locations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry requirements, safety training, recordkeeping, and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate SWAG’s safety policies, procedures, programs, and training materials.
• Conduct routine and risk-based safety inspections at distribution centers and other locations.
• Assess hazards involving forklifts, trucks, docks, pedestrian traffic, and material handling.
• Coordinate incident, injury, near-miss, and property-damage investigations and recommend preventive actions.
• Maintain safety records and support injury/illness recordkeeping and reporting.
• Oversee training and evaluation for powered industrial truck operation and refresher training.
• Develop annual safety training, including six sessions per year for leads and managers.
• Review safety trends and implement targeted interventions at each location.
• Support workers’ compensation claim coordination and return-to-work planning.
