Job summary

American Society of Safety Professionals seeks a Safety Manager to lead a proactive safety program across our distribution operations. You will champion accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations while partnering with leaders to embed a strong safety culture.

The role focuses on DOT, FMCSA, OSHA compliance and safety training for drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors, with emphasis on continuous improvement and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• OSHA, DOT and EPA guidance and regulations knowledge.
• Ability to design and present safety training to small and large groups.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze data and develop corrective action plans to reduce injuries.
• Work schedule primarily office hours with potential split shifts and some weekend work.
• 1–3 years in Warehousing, Transportation or Distribution Safety Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead accident prevention strategy with cross-functional partners (Transportation, Operations, Sales, HR).
• Lead DOT/FMCSA compliance activities including driver qualification files, hours of service, CSA scores and vehicle inspections.
• Oversee OSHA compliance across the OpCo, including powered industrial trucks and ergonomics.
• Manage Workers' Compensation program from injury reporting to claim closure and return-to-work.
• Develop and update safety policies, emergency response plans and safety training programs.
• Lead safety committees and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
