Distributioin Project Manager - Electrical Utility - Willing to relocate to the Seattle area

Select Power Systems is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our team in the Seattle area!

If you have a strong background in Electric Utility Distribution Design and AutoCAD, we want to hear from you.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The qualified candidate should be familiar with the design and operation of utility electrical systems
• Compilation of design packages for construction
• Perform quality reviews of project deliverables
• Meeting and working with a variety of project stakeholders, including developers, construction teams, clients, etc., in the field or on site

Required Education / Experience

• General experience in the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV) and/or strong familiarity with construction processes
• Exposure to utility standards, NESC, and an understanding of construction techniques
• Must be able to successfully pass background screening process
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Desired Education / Experience

• A four-year Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Prior utility design experience or distribution line work is highly preferred
• Exposure to utility Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Microstation, and AutoCAD
• Ability to work in design teams, be self-motivated, and take initiative
• Strong computer design skills, ability to learn new software efficiently, and apply training on the job
• Good command of English with strong written and oral communication skills
• Local travel should be expected
• Proficient in MS Office products and other software applications

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Electric Utility Distribution Design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams
• Engineering degree preferred
