Job Title: Project Manager – Greenfield Substation (Utility/Electrical)

Projects located: Irving, TX (Locals Preferred)

Compensation: Salary + Bonus + Truck Allowance (No Per Diem)

About the Role:

We are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Greenfield Substation project based in Irving, TX. This long-term opportunity is with a well-established infrastructure and construction company known for delivering large-scale utility, electrical, and industrial projects across the region.

The successful candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle, with a focus on utility work involving 138kV transmission lines feeding into a major data center. Key responsibilities will include managing project financials, schedules, and field execution — including foundation work, conduit systems, and apparatus installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations and overall execution of a Greenfield Substation project.
• Oversee utility scope including 138kV line work, grounding, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
• Maintain strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Report regularly to leadership on project status, milestones, and budget performance.
• Another company will handle transformer installation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing substation or similar high-voltage utility/electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of 138kV transmission systems and data center-related utility work.
• Ability to manage field operations, financials, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Plano, TX, and work out of the Irving, TX office as needed, this is a primarily remote position though.
• Must report to the Irving office as needed; this is not a per diem role.
• Estimating and scheduling experience
• This is a salary + bonus + truck allowance position.
• No per diem is offered as this is a full-time salaried position looking for someone local to focus on projects in this area.
• Long-term opportunity with strong potential for career growth.
• Ideal candidate will relocate to the Irving, TX area if not already local.
