In the role of Distribution Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
  1. Coordinating the work of the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through schematic design development and contract document phases.
  2. Establishing meetings and participating in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
  3. Coordinating workload to ensure project completion on schedule.
  4. Conducting work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
  5. Reviewing electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
  6. Writing/editing electrical specifications and selecting equipment, systems, and devices.
  7. Coordinating with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, change orders, and incorporating changes into documents.
  8. Providing construction contract administration as needed.
  9. Conducting QA/QC on the work of other electrical team members.
  10. Performing other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical building design (lighting, power, systems).
  • Experience with architectural/engineering or consulting firms preferred.
  • Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is desirable but not required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • Experience in electrical design of buildings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
