Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Houston, TX, seeks a Distribution Planning Project Manager to apply extensive knowledge in electrical distribution planning and grid technologies to improve grid performance and readiness for future challenges, including distributed generation and electrification.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Advanced degree (MBA or engineering management) is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of related experience with broad renewable generation and power delivery planning experience.
Deep knowledge of electric utility systems and renewable generation development.
Experience leading multi-discipline teams of engineers and analysts.

Responsibilities

Lead business development, client relationships, and proposal development.
Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and quality of deliverables.
Manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and analysts to meet study objectives.
Mentor and train less experienced staff and support company initiatives.
Communicate project status, risks, and financial performance to stakeholders.
