Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Distribution Planning Project Manager in Texas to lead engineering and consulting efforts for electric utilities, focusing on wind/solar integration, DER, electrification, and hosting capacity studies.

This role blends sales and project execution, engaging directly with clients to identify opportunities and deliver actionable results. You’ll manage a team of consultants, oversee scope, schedule, and budget, and contribute to business development across utility clients

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• MBA or engineering management experience a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical distribution planning or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships and manage project proposals from scope to delivery.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to execute distribution planning studies (load flow, hosting capacity, interconnection).
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, with clear communication to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development activities.
