Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager for its Windsor, CT distribution center to lead inbound and outbound warehouse operations and build high-performing teams focused on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

You will drive engagement through coaching, oversee receiving, put-away, picking and shipping, and collaborate across functions to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment for stores and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a distribution, warehousing or logistics environment or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in distribution, warehousing or logistics.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience.
• Experience with distribution product flow and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Executes and supports strategic plans as directed by Operations leadership.
• Provides goals and direction to managers across shifts.
• Identifies opportunities for operational improvement with emphasis on safety.
• Manages volume and staffing to meet service, cost and quality targets.
• Mentors Function Managers and staff through training and policy communication.
• Audits and enforces policies to minimize inventory loss.
• Oversees payroll, expenses and budgets for areas under responsibility.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, and other regulations.
