McLane is seeking an Assistant Distribution Manager in the United States (Kentucky) to oversee warehouse operations, staffing, and process improvements. You will help plan, control, and direct order selecting, shipping, receiving, and general warehousing activities.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and cost control, with opportunities to train staff and implement improved procedures. A bachelor's degree is preferred and 3–5 years in warehousing is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in outbound/inbound warehousing
• Experience with AS/400 or mainframe systems encouraged.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel and data reporting.
• Ability to manage large warehouse staff and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and scheduling for warehouse shifts.
• Minimize errors and waste through supervision and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation rules (OSHA).
• Maintain staffing levels for warehouse shifts.
• Develop procedures to receive/unload/load and store freight.
• Review layout and slotting to maximize order pulling.
• Monitor inventory and communicate with Supply Chain.
• Support repairs of warehouse equipment in a timely way.
• Maintain safety standards per company and gov't rules.
• Help achieve monthly throughput goals and manage overtime.
