Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Manager in Roseville, MN to lead daily distribution activities, drive efficiency, and supervise drivers. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, optimize routes, and coordinate with plant leadership to meet customer needs.

The role requires leadership experience in distribution, strong communication, and the ability to manage DOT/FDA compliance, driver hours, and SOPs while delivering cost-effective service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution operation.
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience in a distribution environment.
• Efficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, independent, well-organized, attention to detail.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures, governmental regulations, MSDS, safety rules, manufacturer operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
• Must be able to safely drive a forklift.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and FDA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily truck routing and inter-branch deliveries.
• Develops, documents and trains employees on SOPs and processes.
• Reviews DOT documentation and driver hours of service.
• Manages availability of drivers and equipment to meet distribution needs.
• Controls distribution costs and maximize service response.
• Directly supervises drivers.
• Responds to inquiries from sales, customer service and branches regarding delivery status and capabilities.
