Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Distribution Manager in Austin, TX to maximize safe and efficient product distribution and manage the driving team within a territory. You will oversee delivery order management, routing, fleet maintenance, and compliance while guiding CDL Drivers to meet distribution goals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience routing deliveries and supervising CDL Drivers.
• Knowledge of shipping hazardous materials within DOT and FDA requirements.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across levels.
• FMCSA and CDL/DOT regulations knowledge.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Directly support and guide drivers, ensuring adequate resources to meet distribution needs.
• Maintain DOT inspection reports, manifests, and related documentation.
• Advance continuous improvement in daily distribution operations.
• Review and process DOT docs, hours of service, route efficiency.
• Submit DOT paperwork accurately and timely.
• Prepare load sheets, delivery tickets, and manifests with critical customer requirements.
• Coordinate loads and routing to align with sales.
• Plan delivery schedules and explain orders to team.
