Publix Super Markets in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Maintenance & Equipment Technician to support the Distribution department. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance tasks across a variety of equipment, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have fleet maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 65 pounds, read blueprints, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 20 years old and have 2 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and solve math problems and interpret instructions.
• Be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Work independently with little supervision and maintain tools for daily duties.
• Complete required tests prior to start date: Basic Office Skills, Following Written Instructions, Spatial Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions in the operation of the maintenance department.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of assignments.
• Follow up on scheduled assignments and completions.
• Identify and resolve problems and respond to unplanned situations.
• Operate a variety of equipment according to policies and manuals.
• Teach and assist other associates; duties may expand as needed.
