Job summary

Southern California Edison is hiring a Distribution Journeyman Lineman to join the team responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground distribution and communication systems. You will work with others, mentor apprentices, and uphold a safety‑first mindset on all assignments.

The role includes operating test equipment, handling high‑voltage components, and supporting the modernization of the grid in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Lineman with Journeyman Lineman card.
• Ability to climb utility poles and overhead structures.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution lines.
• Install and remove poles, cross arms, enclosures, and related equipment.
• Test conductors, cables, and electrical equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Operate test equipment and construction vehicles in a safe manner.
• Collaborate with apprentices and helpers; mentor on-site as needed.
• Maintain a safety‑first mindset in all tasks and environments.
