Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Distribution Journeyman Lineman in California. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground distribution and communication systems, while leading and mentoring apprentices in safe work practices.

Candidates should be a certified Journeyman Lineman with a valid Class A license and experience climbing poles. Relocation may be available for the right candidate and OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Lineman and possess a Journeyman Lineman card.
• Weigh less than 285 pounds due to safety equipment weight restrictions.
• Valid Class A motor vehicle operator's license.
• Experience working with utility poles, including ascending/descending climbing.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, maintains, and repairs distribution and communication systems.
• Installs and removes equipment such as poles, cross arms, towers, enclosures, and transformers.
• Tests, terminates, and bonds conductors and cables; connects electrical equipment.
• Operates test equipment and construction vehicles as needed.
• Collaborates with apprentices and helpers; maintains a safety mindset.
