Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Distribution Forklift Operator for a food production company in Faribault, Minnesota. This role involves safely moving products and supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory processes while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

You will operate a forklift on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with weekly pay and potential long-term opportunities. Forklift certification is required; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and complete

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a forklift and complete required forklift certification training.
• Ability to consistently lift/move up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, climb stairs, twist and turn throughout the shift.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, training manuals, SOPs and GMPs in English.
• Basic computer and inventory tracking skills.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to safely move products throughout the distribution area.
• Load and unload products from trailers, shipping containers, and railcars according to orders.
• Locate products for shipment using inventory tracking software.
• Receive materials and products into the inventory tracking system.
• Accurately complete required paperwork.
• Maintain an orderly warehouse through general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and quality programs.

What You’ll Do as a Distribution Forklift Operator:

• Operate a forklift to safely move products throughout the distribution area
• Load and unload products from trailers, shipping containers, and railcars according to customer and vendor orders
• Locate products for shipment using inventory tracking software
• Receive materials and products into the inventory tracking system
• Accurately complete required paperwork
• Maintain an orderly warehouse through general cleaning and housekeeping duties
• Follow all safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and quality programs

What You Need to Bring to the Distribution Forklift Operator Role:

• Ability to operate a forklift and successfully complete required forklift certification training
• Ability to consistently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, climb stairs, twist, and turn throughout the shift
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, training manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and GMPs in English
• Basic computer and inventory tracking skills
